I ordered and returned a couple robes that claimed they'd be big enough to go over my pregnant belly and widened hips but didn't. This one did and should be perfect for the hospital. I'll still wear something underneath at all times while I'm there, but that probably wouldn't be necessary if I was a little less modest. It's actually a maternity robe! I ordered a large. I'll be at 40 weeks tomorrow and my current measurements are as follows:bust: 41"; belly: 44"; hips: 46"I'm 5'5" tall and the robe hits me at mid-calf.Take in account both your pre-pregnancy size AND how much weight you have gained. If you KNOW you have gained more than you should have, order up. It’s ok; it happens to the best of us. Also, size up if you prefer a looser fit or are on the upper end of the sizing recommendation/ in-between sizes.I’m usually a size 10-12, at 30 weeks and have stayed within the recommended weight gain for my size (12 lbs total as of today) and the Large fit me perfect. I was a bit worried because my stomach is on the top range of average for the fundal measurement but it fits over my stomach and I still have room to grow for the final stretch.It’s very soft, light weight and has stretch. Has nice pockets on the side. Fits nicely over larger breasts.This fit perfect over my 37 week belly and I love it after I gave birth too! Kind of what to wear it around town lolSoft and stretchy. Will work for a lightweight robe. ComfortableI bought a medium but I think a large would have been just fine as well . I wore this after delivery and it was breathable and convenient. Definitely a must have !Love this robe! The best part is that the tie is attached (Which can cause a little bit of a problem when you wash and dry it but it never gets lost!) it’s soft. Lightweight. The pockets are real nice and material is smooth and soft.This robe was excellent when I was in the hospital during my pregnancy, also after delivery and postpartum. I will say that it didn’t cover me well enough late in third trimester to be able to wear it without pants - but in general the fit was pretty good. I wore a L/XL during pregnancy (XL before pregnancy) and found the L robe to be sufficient. The material is fairly thin but works great for warm weather or pregnancy hormones that leave you always hot. The attached belt is fantastic. Definitely worth buying!
