I ordered this dress as a non pregnant (but plus sized) person because I wanted the red color and I could not get the non maternity version in time for my event. I did purchase the non maternity version in black, which I returned. This dress in comparison, though the tags listed the same size, fit a little looser in the chest and was longer in the front (I expected that this was to accommodate a baby belly BUT there is nothing on the tags to actually indicate maternity). The slit is very high so I had to be conscious of that during my event, but it was good as long as I was careful, and the amount of fabric was sufficient that I could hold the top of the slit closed and lift the extra length of skirt when walking and be decent. I was comfortable in the dress and able to move freely. Really my only complaint with this is that the sheer outer layer of the skirt developed a two inch split at the seam at some point in the 7 hours I was wearing this dress. It was an evening event with dimmer lighting, so I’m sure no one really noticed but since I was amongst other attendees many of whom were dressed quite elegantly I felt self conscious that I looked ‘cheap’ in comparison in my ripped dress. All in all I suppose you’re always taking a gamble with an Amazon dress, and it worked for my event, but I would not purchase this dress with the expectation of multiple uses as is. I may consider altering the dress to use again in the future but I’m not sure it’s worth putting additional money into.Perfect pit to sizeThis could be pulled off as a wedding dress! My fiancé was speechless when I walked out in this! It's a teeny bit small. I had to wiggle a bit to get into it. I will be very 36 weeks pregnant for the event and I'm still hopeful it will still fit by then I still have a few inches of give in the belly area. I am currently 227 lbs 29 weeks pregnant the the dress does fit me well. I am more of a plus size hourglass shape 42 D for reference. I will say its a little snug on the chest area but still fits. The dress is well constructed and the color with like a dusty violet true to color looks just like in the amazon image. I am very please with the purchase and the price and be beat since its a dress I only plan to wear once.It was exactly as expected. The burgundy color was a hit!The dress fit perfectly! Did get a little tight in the breast area but still looked good! Such a beautful dress, good quality. Fit well at 33 weeks pregnantIt was suggested to get a size up because the dresses run small. Now I have a dress that fits me way too big, so it has no form. Very disappointing
