I have been looking for an effective and comfortable support band since halfway through my previous pregnancy. I couldn't find it then, but thank God I found it this time around. The Comfort Fit Maternity Support is amazing! It is SUCH a difference with this support band. It is broader (top to bottom) in the front panel than many others on the market- something I really needed based on my past experience. The back support is great too, as it provides a counter-support to the belly support. It is by far the most effective maternity support of those I've seen or tried. When I wear it, I feel supported in my abdominal/pelvic muscles and back muscles. Without it, especially when I'm standing a lot or out and about, I can really tell the difference- all these muscles get so tired and achy when I'm only relying on them all day.I began wearing my size Medium band at around 18-20 weeks. It was a great fit (I'm a size 8-10), with some room to grow. Well, now that I'm 7 months along (about 30 weeks or so), carrying like a basketball as I expected I would, I'll need to move up to the Large. I think the need for this (moving up in size) would depend on how you carry.The maternity band is very comfortable, especially IF you wear it over one layer of clothing, such as a long undershirt. Directly against the skin it is only irritating if any velcro is making contact, which may or may not be an issue depending on how you adjust it. I just choose to have a layer underneath so I never have to worry about it. It is inconspicuous underneath clothing as it advertizes, if you wear regular, non-clingy clothing. If you wear cotton-spandex or lycra, etc. (clingy) clothing don't be upset if the outline and shape of the band shows underneath- that kind of clothing is designed to accentuate the shape underneath, no matter what it is.I have no issues with this band- in my experience it is sized correctly, durable, extremely effective and comfortable. I plan to use it again if the need arises. I've found what I needed!
